You can create a
desktop shortcut to the TYC web page. First, right click the TYC icon above and
save it to a folder. Make sure you make a note of where you saved it to.
Next, from the front
page of the TYC website, right click on a blank portion of the page; from the
drop-down menu, left click on “Create Shortcut”. You will be informed that, “A
shortcut to the current page will be placed on your desktop.” Click, “OK”. Now
check your desktop and sure enough you’ll see a generic Explorer icon
marked as “Tyler Yacht Club.”
Place the cursor on the
generic TYC icon and right-click it. Left click on Properties. From the
Properties menu, left click on the “Web Document” tab, and left click on “Change
Icon” From the Change Icon menu, click Browse and locate the folder where you
saved the TYC icon. You will probably not see the TYC icon at this
point. To see it left click the “Files of type” arrowhead, then click on, “All
Files.” Now, double left click on “tycicon”. You will now again see the Change
Icon menu, with the TYC icon displayed. Double left click on the TYC icon.
Click, “OK”. Your TYC icon should be displayed on your desktop.
